Welcome Again,
Today is November 4th and it has been quite awhile since I have had time to update this page. Our Battle of the Bands with Alliance of Las Vegas and Platinum Sound Studios @ The Cheyenne Saloon has been a success and I am busy as HELL! I have been booking shows now for The Bunkhouse, 4 Aces, JJ's Bar, PUFF Lounge, The Canyon Club, and The Cheyenne Saloon. We asked for it and now we got it so check out our calender we are full. My Birthday is November 9th and I will be 32 Yrs Old! UPDATE on The Battle, so far the following are in round 2: SEAR, The Broads, A Sinners Confession, and Itchy Choad! I wish them all the best of luck and it has been a great time at these shows for all. I am thanking here in advance the people that are helping us keep our booking by Representing us at the shows I cannot attend. The REP's for BM while I am at other shows are as follows: Mr. Ding of course, Malley from The Broads, and my new friend CROSS. Thank you all and I could not keep these show dates without you! My rap band SEAR is just about ready to release his first CD with us as his management and my metal band Monroeville is still deciding on who to record with so things are moving along there also. If anyone wants to mobilize a Street Team for Black Magic Productions please let me know, this is something we really could use to grow our word of mouth about our shows. We even have a NEW BANNER designed by myself and Deppitt Ink it rocks so check it out at a show! Old Review
Welcome again,
The 14th of August, My wife and I went to see some of our favorites hosted by Pulsar @ The Beauty Bar. It was starting off with LA Cali's band The Logan which was aggressive rock bordering almost on punk, pretty good check em out on reverbnation. Next was Turdus Musicus from Norway, they were a hardcore band and very heavy also very good if you like hardcore. Then came The Stript, This is my wifes favorite local band for those that do not know she hates most of the bands that I like haha. The Stript is always kick ass with their goodtime sound that makes you have to rock out! Lastly we had Hang Em High as the headliner, this is always a good band to see for a upbeat almost AFI like experience. They really need a label record companies. When will the labels get these kind of bands out there, I do not know but until then we will always be here. Keep it real and keep supporting our scene.

Welcome again,
So there we were on this fine day of the 26th of JULY my daughter Marissa and I at Jillians. This was her first show and for all that met her she was very happy to meet all daddy's friends in the music business haha. She was there to see Away We Go! The first band on was Newsense and they really in my opinion need much more practice before playing bigger showrooms. After them my daughter was hungry so we had a fine meal from Jillians Restaurant area before carrying on at the shows. When we got back we heard Almost normal which has an interesting female singer that is good but the band needs a bit of work. We thought Burning Season was pretty good though and one of the better Female singer based bands I have heard. Away We Go! was the last band and these kids are pretty good for the teany bopper crowd that they draw. I personally do not listen to this band but my daughter loved every bit of it and took a picture with me at the show which is in their fans section on Away We Go's! Myspace. She left with a purple T-shirt from the band. We ended the night watching The Freemont Street Experience Queen Light Show. She had an awesome night and it was fun to bring my daughter in to my other life for once.

Welcome again,
19July2008 The whole lot of us were there on this fine night at the Art Bar. Dave Bunyan, Mr.Ding and Myself PAN. We were here to support our new friends in the band The Deadly Seven and our friends from KREEP. These two bands are now touring together and are a force to be feared by all wusses haha. Well we will start with KREEP ripping down the house with their ultimate hardcore assault that all rockers like myself know we love. Nobody does it for me like KREEP. Then The Deadly Seven put on their almost GWARlike mixed with The Genitorturers but all female performance. These girls kick much ass and we had a moshful time where I was very involved. There was Blood, Feathers, and Cupcakes all in the mix of elbows and kicks. They totally wrecked the house. Their pig riot guards were awesome too and after drinking a bottle of wine and hearing the beginning of Spanish night the aftershow with Sobre2us whom by the way is the best Latin Rock Band I have ever heard in my life I was kicked out for moshing none the less. I amazingly and I hate to pull the race card was the only one I saw kicked out so I say it I am white and that is why. All were moshing and they kicked me out, what the hell. Also there is rumor that the owner is edgey and that he does too much coke so he makes quick decisions and this may be why haha. Oh well other than being kicked out this night was the best show I have seen in probably 3 years. So next time D7 and KREEP are in your area please do not miss them and rock on metal heads! By the way if you are out there Mr. Vavoom you suck since you never sent us any pictures that you said you would. I hate liars but this business is full of them so keep your heads up and do not be discouraged by liars like this!

A Little but older REVIEW 4 You!
Welcome all,
Busy week this time first I was at a house party July 11th meeting up with my friends from The Real Ones, Dirty Jeezy, Slug One, J Risk, VIP, and SEAR. This party was on Swenson St. put on by Eastblock Entertainment. This party was off the hook and as much as I do not usually like RAP this sound reminds me of my old home in Philly, These Rappers may bring the scene back to life which is what it needs after so much negative press in the past. We will be there to help them and their Fam get out and get heard so support these tight ass rappers representing the 702!!!
My next show which was a barrage of awesomeness was @ Jillians Upstairs on the 12th of July. I will not comment on the negatives of the bands I do not mention but I will het the highlights of the show. First of all Red Hot Radio sounded pretty good to start it off right, Almost Normal scored with such a pretty voice behind their mic, that's right one of the rare female singers here in Vegas. Hitting on Hannah No Comment, Lydia Vance packed the house and had the stage presence that all musicians strive for. They were in superior form and better than I ever have seen them in the past. Welcome to our website Lydia Vance we love ya here!!! The Stript owned it also as usual these guys kick major ass and have such a powerful and unique sound. We only wish they would join us in our ever growing site, but as usual we keep giving them cards and support them anyways. Searchlight came on and sadly I had to leave against my will. We had to go support another of our sites finest artist John Zito @ 10PM at The Bunkhouse. Opening surprised us this week and it became do to cancelations the one and only Funky Jah Punkys our close friends and the great caretakers of The PCP Family Barbeque. Well they rocked the hell outta the Bunkhouse and Justin as usual ran up the walls and even sang out to the streets out front with his cordless mic. This is one energetic band and a must see anytime to get your gears going. At the end of the show they gave out CD's and T-shirts to the crowd. Next up was John Zito and Electric Church from our site again. John made the guitar sing like I have never heard it sing southern rock and the blues, this man is awesome on guitar truely a guitar god in his rights. His new Basist was rocking it to and really putting on a show. Linda from Vegas Rocks Magazine was there and she was dancing having a good time. In just a few days they will be coming out of the studio with a new album so keep tabs on them and get it as soon as it hits the presses. It was like we knew almost everyone this night. Mike and Sean from Billy's Kid were there drinking and partying and it was nice to see them again. Lastly we heard Sarah's Downstairs which we though were punk light. It was so late that maybe to open they could have been good but we were so tired from such an awesome night I had to leave before my hype was mellowed. Pick it up Sarah's Downstairs and keep it interesting, you are almost there and we know we will see them again!

Welcome all,
The show we attended was KREEP at THE DIVEBAR Monday the 7th of July. KREEP was totally rockin it thrashing their skull crushing hardcore style that they are known and loved for. Their was suppose to be more bands but only KREEP took the stage. They did a cover of Motorhead and a cover from Slayer but mosly they did their own music that we all know and love. We have pics featured in our new Latest Show Pics section They were taken by a good photographing fan which we credit on the pic page. Their was also a guest appearance from The Deadly Seven and we were informed that KREEP is going to be their new opening act from here on out. We will be in attendance at The Deadly Seven's show on the 19th of July at The Art Bar. So do not miss this duo to be reckoned with they will rock your ass off!!!

Welcome All,
This last show was a good one for the punk scene and all ages crowd. At Jillians on 03MAY2008 "Guilty By Association" played as the headliner and as always they rocked. "Give Em Hell" was the second to the last band and following suit they rocked also. Both of these bands were good hardcore bands but there is something mainstream about them that I cannot put my finger on. They sound good but they do not do anything new for me. Oh well my opinion as usual, and as usual most of you will say F-U keep it to yourself. Ok then I will try to just bob my head and roll with the punches like a controlled herd animal. Truthfully I am sorry but I did not even know the break happened between these two bands or that one stopped and the other started, someone told me that Guilty was done and I said what happened and when did Give Em Hell end.
"Billys Kid" was awesome, this was straight balls at ya punk and I wish it was later in the night since then there would have been more people there to see the show. Mike the singer was just ripping it up man. And Sean the bassist was running around the crowd and getting in the mini pit while still playing. They also gave out free CD's to the crowd. This is another great "PCP Records" band. They always have good stuff for us from "Pacific Coast Pirates Records". Keep an eye on these people they know the good stuff and they bring it to ya.
"Hang Em High" was sounding good also, I believe that they sound kinda like "AFI" but they are still good enough and diverse enough that they keep this sound new and fresh. They are a mix to this scene and always welcome here in Las Vegas. If you have not seen them than I recommend them.
"Infernal Racket" was the opener and all I can say is keep practicing and I hope you find your sound guys. I will not put them down any more than that since they may get better when they have more luck in locking down where they are going, besides everyone starts somewhere and it takes time and dedication to get it right.
"Antagen" was not here, and I was looking forward to seeing them since I heard so much positive stuff about them so instead "Media Control" filled in for them. This band and I do not care if you like them seriously sucked to me. I would have left if it wasn't such a short set. I hope you guys fire your singer since he is what is weighing you down. I am sorry man but the singer sucks and this band would rock without him. Too many bands rock but a singer drags them down and this is another example of that exactly textbook.
Well until next time keep it real and keep rockin!!!

Older Reviews
I have decided in my great wisdom to keep a few prior shows here when I do my updates so this is now the old news and reviews section in-case someone missed my reviews.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome All,
So on 26APR2008 at 8PM I went to see some bands at our famous hole in the wall called the "Double Down Saloon" this scene is FREE! Where to start man O man. This is truly one of the only real punk bars left and boy what a dump, but it brought back the old days of playing the dumps trying to get found when I use to sing. One note before I start beware of the bathrooms in this place they are horrible and the doors do not lock. Now on with my review.
The night started with "Thee Swank Bastards". This band is self proclaimed surf music but I believe it is more psychobilly or rockabilly. Completely instrumental and it even has a woman dancing with a hula hoop wearing nothing but pasties. You heard me right WOH! She stole the show and it was worth going there just to see her alone yet to hear this fine band playing there hearts out, yes they were awesome man. They say she will be starting to dance there on Monday nights now also so go check her out.
Much of the rest of the night was a blur as I moshed and slammed my night away but I do remember a few more bands. For one there was a band from Victorville California named "Spitting On Cops". This band was favored by the other bands but I believe it was everything that I hate about music in one band. This Thrash Metal band in my opinion sucked so bad I did not want their demo when offered it by a band member.
Their was a band from California called "Dead Birds and Blind Kids" this band I believe kicked serious ass. They sound kinda like "Antiflag" without the anti-gov bullock. Yes they were standard punk band and boy were they good. I have not heard a punk band this good in a long time. See them ASAP!!!!
I also saw a band called "The Last Real Deal" all I can say is very professional band, I even forgot at times that they were playing punk too. This band is good enough to be played on any radio any time. This band is highly recommended for rock and punk junkies alike.
The last band on the ticket was a band named "Butterface" this band if you like early "GWAR" or there other band "RAWG" then you would love this band. I am a fan of GWARs so I loved this band very choppy Raw and very live sounding if that gets it through to you. I could even say unrefined with feedback garage sounding. Most will probably not get it but the ones that do will enjoy this band and be in a very few that have a tuned ear.
The last note I will leave on is that this joint has a great mix of people and a good punk rock spirit that is truly real. Do not let cool clubs like this disappear support our underground because it does not get much more underground then the "Double Down Saloon" !!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome All,
On 19APR2008 I was at "Jillians" to see the "7th Son" Show, here is how it went down. I was hoping to get to see "Val halla" but I was late due to parking problems so I can not say how they performed although from talking to the fans there I hear they rocked hard.
Next up was "Lydia Vance" which I think they did a good set. They rock and they performed perfect. Very organized rock. Very I could say professional mainstream.
Next was "The Stript" which I was very impressed with. I have been wanting to see this band for awhile and they blew this shit up. If you have never seen them they sound Mariln Mansony but still all themselves, metal and a good time here. I believe evryone should see this band atleast once.
I almost forgot "Grade 8" This awesome Thrash band lit the house up with hard rifts and a solid show. This was my first time seeing them and I was impressed. They are everything that there fans say they are. Hard core and heavy, If you don't like heavy music then do not see them, but if you like the thump and fast guitar then rock the pit with this shit!
Last but not least our boys from "7th Son" played. They announced that this is their last show for awhile since they are going in the studio. They got a record deal with "Roadrunner/Warner Bros Records". We wish them luck and keep on brongig that real gut felt rock sound.
So until next time keep it rockin and keep supporting your local club scene.
